Shatta Wale supports a Ghanaian contender vying for the 'singathon' record- Amegah Benedicta Love
Prominent broadcast journalist and advocate for women's empowerment, Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, is gearing up for an extraordinary endeavor—to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest individual singathon. This initiative aims to bring the enthusiasm that originated in Nigeria to the core of Ghana.
Dancehall artist Shatta Wale has publicly expressed his backing for Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, a broadcast journalist and Women Empowerment Advocate, who revealed her intention to break the Guinness World Record for the longest individual singing marathon. Sharing his support on Facebook on December 6, Shatta Wale, even though not personally acquainted with Asantewaa, enthusiastically endorsed her, stating, "I wish I will be there to support this lady... You can do it! Let's goooo. I don't know you from anywhere, but I want to support and boost your confidence and also let you know you are winning hands down."
Asantewaa's goal is to surpass the current world record set by Sunil Waghmare from India, who accomplished a remarkable 105-hour feat on March 7, 2012. With the 'green light' from Guinness World Records, Asantewaa aims to establish a new record, ranging from a minimum of 117 hours to a maximum of 120 hours. The anticipation among Ghanaians is growing as Asantewaa prepares for this significant feat.
